Lebanon Valley College celebrated its 148th Commencement on Saturday, May 13 with nearly 500 students receiving their degrees in Louis A. Sorrentino Gymnasium. The 385 graduating seniors were joined by 38 doctor of physical therapy candidates, and 57 master's degree candidates.

Coastal Carolina University has announced that 745 students made the President's honor list for high academic achievement for the 2017 Spring Semester. To qualify for the President's List for high academic achievement, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.

Albright students were recognized for academic achievements at the annual Honors & Awards Ceremony on May 7, 2017.

Lebanon Valley College honors the 94 students who received the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges award.

Fourteen Spanish majors and minors were inducted into the Kutztown University chapter of Sigma Delta Pi National Hispanic Honor Society. Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society (La Sociedad Nacional Honoraria Hispanica), was established on Nov. 14, 1919, at the University of California Berkeley. The national headquarters is located at the College of Charleston in South Carolina.

Twelve Kutztown University students were inducted into Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU) Geographical Honor Society. Gamma Theta Upsilon was founded in 1928 and became a national organization in 1931. GTU chapter activities support geography knowledge and awareness. A student must have a 3.3 overall grade point average and a 3.3 grade point average in geography to qualify for membership.

Lebanon Valley College recognized 121 students at the Spring Awards and Recognition Ceremony for academic achievement in the natural sciences, social sciences, or humanities during the annual Inquiry celebration.

Nearly 150 Lebanon Valley College students representing academic departments across campus displayed their academic and creative work to an audience of faculty, peers, trustees, administrators, industry representatives, and friends of the College during the annual Inquiry Symposium held on April 27 in Sorrentino Gymnasium.

Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, was established in 1924 to confer distinction upon students of the English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies. An undergraduate candidate for membership shall have a minimum of two college courses in English language and literature beyond the usual requirements in freshman English. The candidate shall have the minimum of a B or equivalent average in English and in general scholarship (a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale), shall rank at least in the top thirty-five percent of his/her class, and shall have completed at least three semesters or five quarters of college course work. A graduate candidate for graduate membership who did not hold undergraduate membership shall be enrolled in a graduate program in English or one of its specializations, have completed 6 semester hours of graduate work or the equivalent, and have a minimum of a B+ or equivalent average in his/her graduate studies (a 3.3 on a 4.0 scale).

Over 150 Ithaca College students were named to the Empire 8 President's List. In order to be considered for the President's List, a student-athlete must earn a 3.75 grade point average or higher while participating in a conference-sponsored sport.

Albright College students will present their research at the 93rd annual meeting of the Pennsylvania Academy of Science, March 31 to April 2, at King's College.

Students who achieved Dean's List have earned a GPA of 3.65 or higher in the academic semester.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Kutztown University has announced the 2017 Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society inductees. The induction ceremony was held on Feb. 21.

Ithaca College congratulates students named to Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester

Diplomas were awarded to traditional, Accelerated Degree Programs and master's degree students at Albright College's 2016 Winter Commencement ceremony on Dec. 17.

More than 280 Albright College students were named to the Dean's List for academic achievement for the 2016 fall semester.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on nearly 700 students during the summer and fall terms. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish their requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honor distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. The following students have been awarded degrees since the summer 2016 announcement. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.

More than 120 Lebanon Valley College student-athletes have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference's (MAC) Fall Academic Honor Roll, emphasizing the Flying Dutchmen's commitment to classroom success.

Wilkes University Provost Dr. Anne Skleder announced the Dean's List for the Fall 2016 Semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must obtain a minimum 3.4 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.

Alvernia University students competed on the Crusaders' Men's Tennis team in 2016-17.

Approximately 2,253 students have made the Fall Semester 2016 Dean's List for academic achievement at Coastal Carolina University.

Elizabethtown (Pa.) College announced the names of students whose outstanding academic performances have earned them the recognition of being included on the fall 2016 dean's list. Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.

Lebanon Valley College has announced its Dean's List recipients for the fall 2016 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.

More than 1,650 students have been named to the Fall 2016 Dean's List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.
