More than 100 Lebanon Valley College students attended the College's seventh annual Leadership Conference on November 5. This year's theme was "People, Purpose, Passion."

Cedar Crest College's Cultural Connection Club is designed to bring together International students and American students through cultural experiences and activities. 2017-18 Cedar Crest College Cultural Connection Club officers are: President - Ravneet Kaur Sandhu; Vice President - Francisca Sepulveda; Secretary - Haley Smith; Treasurer - Nikolina Nikolic; Advisors - Chrstine Carpino and Allen Richardson.

The Cedar Crest College Art Society is open to any student with an interest in art. Its purpose is to increase general awareness and appreciation of art issues, activities, and work on campus and in the community. The Society gives students opportunities to learn about fields and professions in art by sponsoring guest lecturers and hosting trips to local galleries and museums. It also coordinates the end-of-semester Studio Celebration, a collection of student work, hosts arts-and-craft days throughout the semester, and offers creative activities at campus events! Charlotte's Web, a full length play adapted from the book by E.B. White, by Joseph Robinette was performed at Cedar Crest College on November 2, 4 and 5, 2017. The play was produced by special arrangement with the Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.

The MAC Commonwealth Conference announced its 2017 Field Hockey All-Conference Team this week and five Lebanon Valley players were among its ranks.

The undergraduate Class of 2021 and the MSOT class of 2022 arrived at Alvernia University Aug. 17, and took part in service projects around the City of Reading for Orientation Day of Service Aug. 18.

Alvernia is proud to welcome new students to its undergraduate population of 3,000 scholars studying more than 50 different majors at the university.

Lebanon Valley College's Pride of The Valley Marching Band will feature 135 students this year. The marching band performs at all home football games as well as appearances at various exhibitions throughout the fall semester.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on more than 1,200 students during the winter and spring semesters. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish their requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honor distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. The following students have been awarded degrees since the summer 2016 announcement. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.

Albright College held its 158th Commencement ceremony on May 21, 2017. Diplomas were awarded to traditional, Accelerated Degree Programs and master's degree students.

The following local residents were among the 606 students who received degrees during the Commencement exercises at Grove City College on May 20, 2017. Delivering this year's Commencement address was Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence. The Class of 2017 was the largest class in Grove City College 140 year history. In recent years, the Grove City College's four-year graduation rate has climbed to 78 percent, while its six-year graduation rate has reached 83 percent. The average graduation rate in the U.S. is 59 percent.
