Lebanon Valley College congratulates nearly 700 students named to the Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.

More than 700 students graduated from York College of Pennsylvania on May 12.

Nearly 500 students celebrated their academic success and achievements during Lebanon Valley College's 149th Commencement Saturday, May 12, in Louis A. Sorrentino Gymnasium.

Lebanon Valley College held its 69th Annual All-Sports Reception on Sunday evening, April 29 at Sorrentino Gymnasium, awarding year-end accolades and team MVP honors as LVC's senior student-athletes were recognized for their achievements.

The Lebanon Valley College Concert Choir recently performed at the 2018 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Conference April 19-21 in Lancaster. The Concert Choir was selected to sing from among a pool of 130 applicants.

Lebanon Valley College inducted more than 100 students into its chapter of Sigma Alpha Pi honor society as part of Inquiry 2018.

More than 200 Wilkes University students received scholarships at the March 22 annual Scholarship Luncheon on March 22. Scholarship students were recognized along with the donors whose gifts made the scholarships possible.

The Lebanon Valley College Concert Choir proudly announces its 82nd annual spring tour from March 18-25. Conducted by Dr. Matthew Erpelding, the 60-member ensemble will give multiple concert performances and choral music workshops in the central Pennsylvania area.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced that 13 Lebanon Valley players earned spots on the 2017 Zag Field Hockey/NFCHA Division III National Academic Squad.

More than 60 students from all academic fields took part last summer in Muhlenberg's undergraduate research program, working with faculty mentors on campus.

Cedar Crest College's Sophomore Expedition is a unique program that allows every sophomore who is in good academic and judicial standing to study abroad during spring break at no extra cost. This year's trip is to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from March 3 to March 11, 2018. Travel, lodging and meals are paid for by an anonymous alum. Minus the cost of a passport and visa, it won't cost students anything beyond their regular semester tuition, room and board, and fees.

Sister Act is the feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by Tony- and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken, this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

Hard work in high school has paid off for college-bound seniors. The following students have earned Merit Scholarships to attend Alvernia University in the fall.

Numerous Coastal Carolina University student-athletes participated in "Night to Shine," a red-carpet event held at The Rock Church in Conway in conjunction with the Tim Tebow Foundation. "Night to Shine" is a unique prom night experience for people with special needs. More than 200 "Kings and Queens" from ages 14 to 83 participated the event Feb. 9. CCU players from the volleyball team, lacrosse team and football team participated in the event.

Golden Wolves have been named to spring athletic teams at Alvernia University.

The following students have been named to Alvernia University's Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Students with a term GPA of 3.50 or higher were recognized for their academic achievement and named to Dean's List for Fall 2017.

Cedar Crest College believes that being civically engaged in one's community is a critical step in one's life journey. Each year during New Student Orientation, students are provided an opportunity to begin their civic journey by volunteering during our annual Day of Service. This opportunity allows students to serve others while demonstrating learning, connection, and caring involvement in the surrounding community. The Class of 2021 teamed up with faculty and staff members, Interim President Elizabeth Meade, and the Friends of the Allentown Parks for the college's Day of Service on Saturday, August 26, 2017. The group cleaned up the grounds between Fountain Park and Valania Park in Allentown. Later in the day the group walked to Zion's Reformed United Church of Christ at 620 Hamilton Street, where Cedar Crest College held its first classes on September 5, 1867, for a photo.

America Reads and America Counts is a tutoring opportunity that works with local children in before school, during school and after school programs to help children develop and improve their reading and math skills. Cedar Crest College students work with community children from kindergarten to 12th grade. The Cedar Crest College Lutz Center for Community Service is a student run office providing individuals and campus groups with opportunities to participate in on-going service projects such as after school tutoring programs and nursing home visits. In addition, campus members can participate in a variety of one-time events such as blood drtives, helping at an animal shelter, and restocking at the local food bank. The Lutz Center for Community Service staff work to recruit, orient, reflect with and recognize volunteers through the development, facilitation and assessment of one-time and weekly programs with local community agencies and organizations. 2017-18 Lutz Center for Community Service student staff members are: Leslie Cano, Haley Smith, Adaliz Gonzalez, Lea Feldman, Grace Dougherty, Jamillexe Soto, Corina Peguero, Martha Arredondo, Michelle Reyes, Abagail Billig, Elizabeth Thompson, Kelsey Kehm, Sherlee Velazquez, Madeline Kortze.

Students who achieved Dean's List have earned a GPA of 3.65 or higher in the academic semester.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on more than 475 students during the summer, fall and winter semesters. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees since the spring 2017 announcement. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honors distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. Students listed multiple times have been awarded more than one degree. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.

Students have been named to the University of Delaware Dean's List for the Fall 2017 semester.

DanceWorks harnesses the dynamic expression of the human body. The poetry of movement replaces words in an evolving landscape of imagery and emotion. This year's program features dances by eight talented students and two alumni choreographers. As movement enthusaists, they have chosen to investigate their creative visions kentically. They are learning to become adept at communicating ideas via the infinitely malleable elements of space, time and energy. To up the ante, this year the choreographers have been challenged to create their dances on an 8x8 foot stage. This constraint breeds a wealth of creative possibilities as it encourages the artists to truly focus their vision.

Coastal Carolina University has announced that 814 students made the President's honor list for high academic achievement for the 2017 Fall Semester. To qualify for the President's List, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.

Runaways is a musical which was written, composed and directed by Elizabeth Swados, about the lives of children who run away from home and live on the city streets. The characters were taken from workshops conducted by Swados with real-life runaways in the late 1970s.

More than 1,725 students have been named to the Fall 2017 Dean's List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for the Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.
